This fall, Zilker 351, in partnership with Austin Parks Foundation and TreeFolks, is restoring a 6,000-square-foot area along Columbus Drive near the Violet Crown Trail. Together, we’ll remove invasive plants and plant native tree mottes supported by berms and swales—nature’s own design for healthy forests. These trees will filter polluted runoff before it reaches Barton Creek, provide food and shelter for wildlife, and grow into a shady canopy that cools the trail for everyone who walks, runs, or bikes through Zilker Park.

But we can only plant if the community steps up. We need to raise $10,000 by September 30 to ensure these trees take root during the October planting season. Every dollar brings us closer to a cooler, healthier, more resilient Zilker Park.
