Through the City of Austin
Picnic sites, fields, and permits
Picnic areas, sports fields, commercial film and photography, and special-event permits are all managed by the City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department.
Picnic sites
Reserve picnic areas and shelters for gatherings through Austin Parks and Recreation (APR).
Sports fields
Athletic fields and open areas for organized play are booked through the City.
Film & photo
Commercial film and photography in the park requires a City permit.
Special-event permits
Festivals, races, and large gatherings need a special-event permit from the City of Austin.
