Tim Culbertson will be our guest speaker on Tuesday, February 3rd. His topic is “Amazing Soft-Leaved Orchids” which includes the genera: Pescatorea, Cochleanthes, Bollea and Huntleya. These genera are under-represented in many mixed collections.
Besides needing water and heat, genera in this alliance have low cultural demands. They are easy to grow, flower and can reach specimen size quickly when well grown. Their flowers are beautiful and many are blue. By the end of his presentation, Tim may have convinced you to give them a try. Tim will also be bringing an assortment of plants for sale.
